In the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 643 dated August 25, 2015, the Minister of Finance and Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration published the approval no. 876/506/2015 for the approval of the form 401 “Informative statement on real estate owned by residents of other Member States of the European Union in Romania”. The normative act approved of the form 401 and its contents “Informative statement on real estate owned by residents of other Member States of the European Union in Romania”, set out in Annex. 1. The declaration shall be submitted electronically as a PDF file that is attached to an XML file. The executive authorities of local government, through specialized departments have to submit the declaration on property held by residents of other Member States of the European Union in Romania, until April 10 this year, for the previous year.Notwithstanding the provisions above, for 2014, the deadline for submission of the declaration is set on September 20, 2015.
The informative declaration has to be completed based on data and information contained in the forms submitted by residents of other European Union member states who own immovable property in Romania.
