The prospect of emission of the government bonds in the FIDELIS programme

In the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 398, from 5th June 5, has been published the Order of the Minister of Public Finance no. 644/2015 regarding the prospect of emission of the government bonds, destined to natural persons investors in the FIDELIS programme.

In order to finance and refinance the public debt, the normative act approves the prospect of emission of the government bonds destined exclusively to natural persons investors in the FIDELIS programme, in a nominal value of 100 millions RONS.

The government bonds from the FIDELIS programme will be available to be bought, from 8 to 19 June 2015, through the credit institutions BCR, BRD and Raiffeisen Bank or through other intermediary authorized by the Financial Supervision Authority, participant at the trading system of the Stock Exchange of Bucharest, which signed the Commitment regarding the provisions of the prospect of emission.

The nominal value of a government bond will be 1000 RON. At the solicitation date, while completing the subscription form, the natural persons will have to point the rate of interest at which they want to buy government bonds, rate between 1.75-2.15% per year. The interest paid will be constant, its level having to be established and communicated by the Minister of Public Finance at the moment of the allocation of the emission, in 22nd June 2015.

The bonds are issued for a two years period, the emission falling due on 25th June 2017.
