In the Official Journal of the European Union, L series, from 30th April 2015 has been published the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/675 which modifies the Council Regulation (EC) No. 673/2005 establishing additional customs duties on imports of certain products originating in the United States of America.
The object of the regulation: United States of America did not enact the compensation of the continued dumping and the subsidy offset Act, and because of this, according to the obligations assumed by the agreements of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the Regulation (EC) no. 673/2005 has established an additional customs duty of 15% on imports of certain products originating in the United States of America, applicable from 1st of May 2005. The effect of an additional customs duty of 15% on imports of products in the United States of America represents through the period of one year a commercial asset of no more than 3.295.333 USD. In order to ensure that there is no delay in the enforcement of the modified rate of the additional customs duty, the present regulation should come into force beginning with the publication date.
The present regulation is mandatory in all its elements and has direct effect in all the member states.
