In the Official Journal of the European Union, series L 307, was published EU Directive 2014/94 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL, regarding the installation of infrastructure for alternative fuels.
Object of the decision: developing a common framework of measures for the installation of infrastructure for alternative fuels in the EU, in order to minimize the dependence on oil and to mitigate environmental impacts of transport. It also lays down minimum requirements for the creation of infrastructure for alternative fuels, including recharging points for electric vehicles and natural gas refueling points (LNG and CNG) and hydrogen, to be implemented through national policy frameworks of the Member States and common technical specifications for such recharging and refueling points and information requirements of users.
This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
