A team of consultants specialized in transactions from PwC Romania provided financial and tax due diligence services to Rezolv Energy for the acquisition of a majority stake in West Power Investments, which is developing a 1,044 MW solar park in Arad, from Monsson Group. Rezolv Energy is backed by Actis Energy 5, a fund with USD 6 billion of investable capital to accelerate the Energy Transition globally.
Cornelia Bumbăcea, Partner Deals PwC Romania: “We are pleased to have been involved in such an important transaction for the renewable energy market in Romania, as the Arad project is considered the largest solar park in Europe. We thank our client, Rezolv Energy, for its trust and our colleagues for their involvement and professionalism”.
For this transaction, the financial due diligence team was formed of Cornelia Bumbăcea, Partner PwC Romania, Andreea Bocioacă, Director and Florin Moraru, Consultant.
Andreea Mitiriță, Partner PwC Romania: “Renewable energy is one of the sectors that have generated a lot of transactions and investments in recent years and we believe that the pace will continue, given the impact of the war in Ukraine on the energy sector, but also the ambitious objectives of the EU, and implicitly of the Member States, to reduce carbon emissions”.
The tax due diligence was carried out by the team formed by Andreea Mitiriță, Partner, Cristina Fuioagă, Director, Mădălin Manea, Manager, Gabriel Gheorghe, Senior Consultant and Cosmin-Ionuț Pantelimon, Senior Consultant.
