On Monday, the 7th of March 2022, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure set for public debate a draft Emergency Government Ordinance (EGO) amending and supplementing certain normative acts regarding infrastructures of national interest. Moldova-Romania roaming charges decrease. On Tuesday, the 8th of March 2022, the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalisation set for public debate a draft Government Decision approving the Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova regarding roaming charges decreases between the two states. The agreement was signed at Chișinău on the 11th of February 2022. [source]

Employee secondment amendment. On Tuesday, the 8th of March 2022, the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity set for public debate a draft EGO supplementing Law no. 16/2017  regarding employee secondment while performing transnational services. [source]

Fiscal and budgetary measures approved. On Wednesday, the 9th of March 2022, Law no . 47/2022 was published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 236. Law no. 47/2022 approves EGO no. 61/2021 extending the term provided by art. III (3) of EGO no. 1/2020 regarding certain fiscal and budgetary measures, and amending and supplementing certain normative acts, and Law no. 48/2022 approving EGO no. 59/2021 amending and supplementing Law no. 227/2015 of the Fiscal Code. Import goods relief from taxes and VAT. On Wednesday, the 9th of March 2022, the Ministry of Finance set for public debate a draft Order enforcing Commission Decision (EU) 2021/2313 of 22 December 2021 on relief from import duties and VAT exemption on importation granted for goods needed to combat the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak during 2022. On Thursday, the 10th of March 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs set for public debate a draft Government Decision establishing the temporary safety conditions for foreigners, and amending and supplementing certain normative acts for foreigners. Ukrainian citizen employment placement procedure. On Thursday, the 10th of March 2022, Order no. 301/2022 was published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part I, no. 240. The Order approves the Employment Placement Procedure of Ukrainian citizens coming from armed conflict areas in Ukraine. Thus, Ukrainian citizens lacking documents attesting their qualifications or experience may register with county employment agencies. Registration is possible with an ID, passport, or any other document attesting identity. Free access to services and measures provided by Law no. 76/2002 regarding unemployment insurance and workforce engagement is available after registration, The affidavit/declaration on own responsibility will be available in both Romanian and Ukrainian, and can be filled with the aid of a counselor. An available workplace corresponding to the person’s qualifications and experience will be referred to the applicants in the final step. [source]
