EU recommendation on removing the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU

Recommendation no. 89/2021 amending Recommendation (EU) 2020/912 on the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU and the possible removal of this restriction is published in the Official Journal of the European Union no. 33 of January 29, 2021. From 28 January 2021, the EU recommends that Member States phase out the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU, in a coordinated manner, for residents of the following third countries:

  1. STATE
  2. Australia
  3. New Zealand
  4. Rwanda
  5. Singapore
  6. South Korea
  7. Thailand
  8. China (*)

Code of conduct applicable to members of the European Court of Auditors

The Code of Conduct applicable to members and former members of the Court is published in the Official Journal of the European Union no. 30 of January 28, 2021. The Code of Conduct applies to members of the European Court of Auditors as well as to former members, where expressly specified. The Code of Conduct provides a beautiful description of the dogmas governing the work of the members of the Court and promotes values ​​and principles, such as:

– the principle of integrity;

– the principle of independence;

– the principle of objectivity;

– competence;

– professional conduct;

– confidentiality and transparency;

– the principle of dignity;

– commitment and loyalty;

– discretion and collegiality.

Project to change the electronic monitoring via reporting

On Thursday, January 28, 2021, the Financial Supervisory Authority launched for public debate the draft Regulation amending and supplementing Regulation no. 27/2010 on electronic surveillance by reporting, with subsequent amendments and completions.

Amendment to the Framework Loan Agreement between Romania and the Council of Europe Development Bank

The amendment agreed by the exchange of letters signed in Bucharest on September 23, 2020 and in Paris on October 16, 2020 between the Government of Romania, through the Ministry of Public Finance, and the Council of Europe Development Bank to the Framework Loan Agreement F / P 1,579 (2006) between Romania and the Council of Europe Development Bank, signed in Bucharest on September 7, 2007 and in Paris on September 25, 2007 is published in the Official Gazette, Part I no. 88 of January 27, 2021. The amendment seeks to update the estimated cost breakdown and financing plan of the “Priority Investments in Water Management” Project, as well as to expand the work schedule.
