Establishment of the quarantine measure for persons in the emergency situation of international public health caused by the infection with COVID-19

Judges, prosecutors, specialized auxiliary staff and related personnel are entitled to parental leave.

In the Official Monitor no. 193 of March 10, 2020, the the following acts were published: 1. Decision no. 26/2020 for the modification of the Regulation regarding the leave of judges and prosecutors, approved by the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 325/2005 and 2. Decision no. 27/2020 for the modification of the Regulation regarding the leave of the specialized auxiliary personnel and the related personnel from the courts and prosecutor’s offices attached to them, approved by the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 186/2007.

Thus, it is introduced that judges, prosecutors, specialized auxiliary personnel and related personnel are entitled to paternal leave.

Also, in the aforementioned Decisions, in the chapter on granting paid days off for special family events, the phrase “free days” is replaced by “paid holidays”.

The paid leave provided for special family events cannot be granted later than 30 days from the date of the event. [source]

Establishment of the quarantine measure for persons in the emergency situation of international public health caused by the infection with COVID-19

In the Official Monitor no. 201 of March 12, 2020, Order no. 414/2020 regarding the establishment of the quarantine measure for the persons in the emergency situation of international public health determined by the infection with COVID-19 and establishing measures to prevent and limit the effects of the epidemic has been published.

Thus, the institutionalized quarantine measure for asymptomatic persons entering the territory of Romania coming from the areas with extended community transmission affected by COVID-19 (red area) is established, for a period of 14 days, in specially arranged spaces made available by the local authorities.
