The ministry of Labor, Family and Social Security, stated on Thursday the 31st of May 2012, regarding the amendment of the Labor Code: “The Labor Code can’t be changed because the Government wants to, but it must be changed according to the discussions which go on between the patronages and the syndicates. The Government must be an arbitrator in this case and maybe intervene when there is no understanding solution. The change of the Labor Code is probably made in the autumn or at the beginning of the next year, according to the bargaining which will go on between syndicates and the patronages. A part is represented by the introduction of certain measures which are able to protect the employees, because those were totally excluded of the Labor Code. There are also many other things to change, to make it more functional and to assure o flexibility of the labor market, but let’s not forget about the security.”
