On Friday, the 5th of October 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs set for public debate the draft Decision amending and supplementing Government Decision no. 16/2017 regarding the organization and functioning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as for the amending and supplementing of the Government Decision no. 1006/2016 on the organisation and functioning of the International Development Cooperation Agency and for the supplementing of the Government Decision no. 8/2013 on the organization and functioning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Amendments to the Superior Council of Magistracy Law. On Monday, October 8, 2018, Law no. 234/2018 amending and supplementing Law no. 317/2004 on the Superior Council of Magistracy was published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part. I, no. 850. By the Amending Act, the Superior Council of Magistracy Law has undergone severe changes, both regarding the organisation and functioning of the Prosecutor’s Section and the Section for Judges. Negative opinion from the Superior Council of Magistracy. On Monday, October 8, 2018, the Superior Council of Magistracy announced that the Prosecutor’s section denied by majority the proposal of the Minister of Justice for appointing Adina Florea, prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to Constanța tribunal, as chief prosecutor of the National Anti-corruption Directorate. Considerable changes in the fiscal-budgetary sector. On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, Emergency Ordinance no. 89/2018, regarding certain fiscal-budgetary measures, and for amending and supplementing several normative acts, was published in the Official Journal of Romania, Part. I, no. 854. Camelia Toader, chosen as president of a Chamber of three judges at the Court of Justice of the European Union.  On Thursday, the October 11, 2018, the Court of Justice of the European Union informed that, following the partial renewal of the Court of Justice, the judges of the Court have chosen among them the presidents of three-judge chambers.
