Free access to the Romanian legislation

The free access to the Romanian legislation: The Government decided that the copy, the transposition and the diffusion, whatever the support, of the publication Official Gazette of Romania, in the format protected by the law, without the consent of the right holder ( Autonomous “Monitorul Oficial” ), are prohibited. * * * The harmonization of the regulation concerning the civil status documents: The Ministry of Administration and Interior launched in public debate the bill for the change and the completion of the Law no. 119/1996 about the civil status documents. The changes proposed aim, mainly, the harmonization of the legal provisions in the field of the civil status, established by the Law no. 119/1996, with the provisions of the new Civil Code. * * * Convention for the avoidance of the double taxation between Romania and Saudi Arabia: The Ministry of Finances launched in public debate the bill for the ratification of the Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Kingdom  of Saudi Arabia for the avoidance of the double taxation and the prevention of the tax evasion with respect to taxes on income. * * * The change of the Statute of the profession of insolvency practitioner: The Official Gazette of Romania, part I, no. 555 dated 4 august 2011 was published the Decision of the Congress of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania no. 4/2011 for the change and completion of the annex no. I at the Decision of the Congress of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania no. 3/2007 concerning the approval of the Statute concerning the organization and the execution of the profession of insolvency practitioner and the Code of professional ethics and discipline of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners of Romania. * * *A prosecutor and lawyers prosecuted for influence peddling. In Monitorul Oficial of Romania, part I, no. 538 dated 29 July 2011 was published the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 484/2011 for the change and the completion of the Regulation of organization and functioning of the Superior Council of Magistracy, approved by the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 326/2005. The Decision completes the Regulation of organization and functioning of the Superior Council of Magistracy, introducing a new chapter referring to the Procedure of selection of the candidates for the promotion in position of judge at the High Court of Cassation and Justice. * * * New rules on the transformation of the prosecutors in judges. In Monitorul Oficial of Romania, part I, no. 550 dated 3 August 2011 was published the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 470/2011 for the change and completion of the Regulation concerning the transfer and the detachment of the judges and of the prosecutors, the delegation of the judges, the appointment of the judges and of the prosecutors in other leadership positions, and the appointment of the judges in the position of prosecutor and of the prosecutors in position of judge, approved by the Decision of the Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy no. 193/2006.
