Law of the National Archives. Draft. On Tuesday, the 1st of August 2017, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched in public debate the draft for the Law of National Archives. The main purpose of the draft law is to increase managing quality of the archival domain, to better shape the state-protected archival patrimony, to delimit the responsibilities between the public and the private sector, to strengthen the status of the National Archives of Romania as a unique authority in the field and the archives in general, as an essential element of identity, and an instrument of good governance. Code of Best Banking Practices in Relations with Debt Consumers. Draft. On Monday, the 31st of July 2017, the Council of Banking Employers in Romania (CBER) launched in public debate the draft of the Code of Best Banking Practices in relationship with Debt Consumers. The document, signed by the Romanian Commercial Bank, Bancpost, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, and UniCredit Bank, aims to highlight the measures that the banks are already adopting and which they are considering in the future, as well as the commitment to deal with all the seriousness the customers being in real difficulty, according to a CBER statement. The Code contains both possible measures to help clients experiencing financial difficulties to overcome them, and principles to prevent credit default situations. [source]

Amendment of Law on internal public auditing. Draft. On Tuesday, the 1st of August 2017, the Ministry of Public Finances has launched in public debate the draft of the Ordinance amending Law no. 672/2002 on internal public audit and for the extension of the term stipulated in art. III, point 1 of Law no. 191/2011 for amending and completion of Law no. 672/2002 on public internal audit. [source]

Amendment of Government Decision regarding the establishment of a State aid scheme for sustainable economic development. Draft. On Friday, the 4th of August 2017, the Ministry of Public Finance has launched in public debate the draft Decision for the amending and completion the Government Decision no. 1680/2008 regarding the establishment of a state aid scheme for the ensuring of sustainable economic development. The child raising allowance capped. On Friday, the 4th of August 2017, the Romanian Government amended the provisions of Emergency Government Ordinance no. 111/2010 on the child-raising allowance, setting a maximum limit of 8,500 RON per month, according to a Government press release. The provision shall apply starting with the rights for September 2017 for both persons having the rights established or demanded prior to that date and for subsequent situations. The monthly child allowance represents 85% of the average net income earned in the last 12 months of the last 2 years prior to the date of childbirth, maintaining the minimum amount at 85% of the minimum guaranteed gross salary in the country and now has as limitation the maximum of 8,500 RON.
