National Supervisory Authority for the Processing of Personal Data. Meetings regarding personal data protection by the local public administration

On Tuesday, 11th of July, 2017, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing announced that on July 4-5, 2017, meetings were held in the counties of Timiș and Caraș-Severin with the theme Personal Data Protection in the local Public Administration. 

The meetings, attended by representatives of local public authorities and decentralised departments of ministries and other public administration bodies, offered the opportunity to discuss the following themes:

  • the ensuring of personal data protection by public sector operators;
  • Regulation (EU) no.679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, which enters into force the 25th of May 2018;
  • the novelty elements required by the new regulation, in particular on operator accountability;
  • the object of the Directive no. 680/2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the competent authorities for the purposes of the prevention, detection, investigation or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of penalties and on the free movement of such data and repealing Framework Decision 2008 / 977 / JHA.


The National Agency for Public Procurement. Public debate regarding the Amendment of certain normative acts in the field of public procurement

On Thursday, 13th of July, 2017, the National Agency for Public Procurement announced that it will organise a public debate session on Tuesday, the 18th of July, 2017, on the Draft Government Ordinance for amending and completing some normative acts with impact on public procurement, according to a press release of The National Agency for Public Procurement.

The event will take place at the headquarters of the National Institute of Statistics (Blue Hall) on Libertăţii Boulevard no. 16, Bucharest, starting at 9:30.


The Competition Council analyzes the takeover of the sole control over Forte Gaz GN SRL by Premier Energy SRL 

On 13th of July, 2017, the Competition Council announced that it is analyzing the transaction by which Premier Energy SRL takes direct solecontrol over Forte Gaz GN SRL, according to a press release of the Competition Council.

Premier Energy SRL was established in 2007 under the name Petrom Distributie Gaze SRL, at that time being controlled by OMV Petrom SA. In 2013, Ligatne Limited, Cyprus, took control over this company from OMV Petrom SA. The group of companies to which Premier Energy belongs is active in the markets for the supply and distribution of natural gas.

Forte Gaz GN SRL is an active company in the gas supply market.

According to the provisions of the Competition Law no. 21/1996, republished, the proposed operation is an economic concentration that exceeds the value thresholds stipulated by the law and is subject to the control of the Competition Council, which will assess this economic concentration in order to establish the compatibility with a normal competitive environment and shall issue a decision within the stipulated terms by law.


Revision of the Consular Regulation. Draft 

On Friday, 14th of July 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched in public debate the draft Decision for amending and completing the Consular Regulation, approved by the Government Decision no. 760/1999.


Revisions regarding the medicines granted to the patients under national health programs. Draft 

On Wednesday, 12th of July, 2017, the Ministry of Health launched in public debate the Order amending and supplementing annex no. 2 to the Order of the Minister of Health and of the President of the National Health Insurance House no. 1605/875/2014 concerning the approval of the calculation method, the list of the trade names and the settlement prices of the medicinal products granted to the patients under the national health programs and the methodology for their calculation.
