The Global Arbitration Review has named Suciu Popa to its prestigious list of the world’s top/leading international arbitration firms
Global Arbitration Review has launched the 10th of its GAR 100 listing and Suciu Popa is delighted that its International Arbitration practice has been included.
The GAR 100 is a guide to the international arbitration capabilities of law firms released annually by independent legal publisher Law Business Research. The guide is compiled based on an established research process and is a large survey of the world’s leading arbitration practices.
Global Arbitration Review has noted the significant portfolio of important arbitration cases handled by Suciu Pop’s international arbitration team since its first year after its establishment , as well as several « eye catching » successful results obtained by Suciu Popa in several complex procedures.
“We are extremely pleased that GAR has recognized our achievements in international arbitration, recognition granted from the very first year of our firm’s existence. It is a recognition for our strong, talented and dedicated team, as well as for our significant caseload and for the trust that our clients place in us. I am thankful and grateful to our entire team, as well as honoured and obliged by our clients’ trust.”
It is noteworthy that in addition to this performance, Luminita Popa and Suciu Popa as a firm were also shortlisted by GAR this year in the Most Important Decision category. The nomination was due to the biggest international arbitration file, worth USD 1.2 billion, recently won by Enel against the Romanian State, in which Enel was assisted by Luminita Popa acting as lead counsel.
Established in February 2016, Suciu Popa was recognized as a leading firm by Legal 500 EMEA, IFLR 1000, Chambers & Partners, while Luminita Popa was also recognized by Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration – Future Leaders 2017.
