Amendment of Law no.302/2004 on judicial cooperation in criminal law. Draft
Wednesday, on 8th of February 2017, the Ministry of Justice has launched in public debate the draft of law for the amendment and completion of Law no.302/2004 on judicial cooperation in criminal law, republished, with the subsequently amendments and completions.
Romania lends to Moldova 50 millions of euros
Thursday, on 9th of February 2017, the Ministry of Public Finances informed that Romania shall lend to Moldova 50 millions of euros, representing a second loan tranche, after lending a first loan tranche of 60 millions of euros on 24th of August 2016, according to a press statement of the Ministry of Public Finances.
The loan is being done under the Agreement on reimbursable financial assistance between Romania and Moldova ratified by Law no. 91/2016.
In January 2017, the Ministry of Finance of Moldova submitted to the Ministry of Public Finance of Romania an official letter requesting a change of date of release of the second tranche of 50 million from March 31, 2016 on February 27, 2017.

National Bank of Romania. Report on the inflation- February 2017
Thrusday, on 9th of February 2017, the National Bank of Romania has released the Report on the inflation- February 2017.
Checks in food industry establishments- January 2017
Wednesday, on 8th of February 2017, the National Authority for Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety has reported that during January 2017 there were conducted 5212 inspections in establishments in the food industry operating in areas such as: milling products, bread, pastries, soft drinks and alcoholic ones and the storage of food, seeds, fruit and vegetables, according to a statement of National Authority for Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety.
Following the irregularities there were imposed 54 fines totaling 78,600 RON and 80 warnings were given for minor deficiencies.
The Ministry of Economy, meeting with EBRD delegation
Wednesday, on 8th of February 2017, Alexandru Petrescu, Economy Minister met with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), headed by Vice Alain Pilloux and Pierre Heilbronn where there was a brief overview of projects from the public sector developed in Romania, being mentioned the successful collaborations, but also the areas where there are some problems, according to a press statement of the Ministry.
However, EBRD representatives welcomed the initiative of establishing the Sovereign Development and Investment Fund, showing their openness and support by providing expertise in structuring the mechanism of financing the fund, the Ministry inviting the Banks experts to join the working group set up for this purpose.
