The Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy stated that judges and prosecutors can invest in the open investment funds, since the prohibitions and the incompatibilities are of strict interpretation and applicability.

The Plenum of the Superior Council of Magistracy evaluated the adequateness of the insertion of the ECLI code in the content of judicial decisions and deemed this necessary.

The Ministry of Justice. The AGRASC Director’s visit to Bucharest
The second official visit to Bucharest of Charles Duchaine, general director of the Agency for the Recovery and Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets, took place between 12-15 April. It is noteworthy that a delegation of the Romanian Ministry of Justice previously visited the AGRASC headquarters on 17.03.2016 on the occasion of the Ministerial Conference of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs. High security level in the first trimester of 2016
The analysis of the first three months of 2016 revealed a constant decreasing trend regarding the crimes which were discovered (3% decrease in comparison with the similar period in 2015). 8% less street crimes were recorded.
Signed decree- 18.04.2016
Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania, signed on Monday, 18.04.2016 the decree by means of which the Agreement between the member states of the European Union and the European Investment Bank regarding the loans which shall be granted by the latter for the investment projects in the states of Africa, Caribbean and the Pacific will be subjected to ratification by the Parliament. The Agreement between the member states of the European Union and the European Investment Bank regarding the administration of arrears will also be subjected to ratification

Klaus Iohannis, the President of Romania, signed on Tuesday, 19.04.2016, the following decrees:
-regarding the promulgation of the Law concerning the modification and completion of the Government Emergency Ordinance no.111/2010 on the childcare leave and monthly indemnity
-regarding the promulgation of the Law concerning the approval of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 67/2015 on the prorogation of the time limit set in art. III from Law no. 91/2015 on the modification and completion of Law no.95/2006.
Amendments to the Government Emergency Ordinance no.111/2010 regarding childcare leave and the monthly indemnity
After almost five years from its last significant amendment, GEO no. 111/2010 was modified with the purpose of updating it in accordance with the current socio-economic realities. The detailed amendments and explanations can be found here.

The Spanish Ministry of Justice visited Bucharest
Rafael Catalá, the Spanish Minister of Justice, visited Romania and discussed various subjects with Raluca Prună, the Romanian Ministry of Justice, such as: the internal and European agendas, the judicial criminal and civil cooperation or the structure of penitentiaries and the problems of the Romanian state in this matter.

Victor Ciorbea, the Romanian Ombudsman, took part on Wednesday, 20.04.2016, in the debate “Reestablishment of the demographic equilibrium- the first priority of Romania”, organized by the parliamentary group of the National Liberal Party.
Joint Romanian-Korean Cooperation Committee
On the occasion of the works of the Joint Committee concerning the Industrial Cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Korea which took place on 18.04.2016, Vlad Vasiliu, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Relations with the Business Environment, and Woo Taehee, deputy Trade, Industry and Energy minister, discussed issues regarding the increase and diversification of bilateral Romanian-Korean trade and the role of SMEs in this matter.

On Wednesday, 20.04.2016, the Superior Council of Magistracy published the Report on the status of justice in 2015, which encompasses certain aspects concerning the relation between judiciary system and lawyers.
